The ViBi Bar
A guided tour of the exhibition focusing on ViBiBar, one of Fortunato Depero's most emblematic projects, in which art, music, and the culture of conviviality intertwine. Entering the room that was once the cloakroom of Casa Bagatti Valsecchi, the sound installation created by Gaetano Cappa recreates the lively atmosphere of the ViBiBar in Bolzano, opened in 1937 by Servilio Cavazzani and demolished in 1972. The exhibition explores the cycle of cloth inlays created by Depero for the bar's wood paneling: from allegories of beer and wine, conceived as true identifying elements of the Cavazzani cellars, to panels that rework themes already developed for ENIT or for the context of the Dopolavoro Aziendali (company social clubs). A visit that invites visitors to interpret the exhibition through the theme of encounter and sociality, restoring the cultural complexity of a space designed to be experienced.
