Bagatti Valsecchi between past and present

Guided tour

Bagatti Valsecchi between past and present

A guided tour dedicated to the housing project of the Bagatti Valsecchi brothers, who were deeply fascinated by the Renaissance and at the same time fully immersed in late 19th-century culture. The tour recounts how the two noblemen transformed their family home into a residence inspired by the stately homes of the Lombard Renaissance. Alongside references to the past, the tour highlights the presence of modernity: heating systems, running water, electric lighting, and comfort solutions that testify to the desire to live in the present. This itinerary invites visitors to view the House Museum as a place of balance between historical memory and contemporary life, between references to the past and innovation.
